True Value creates chief commercial officer role

CHICAGO — True Value has appointed Chris Kempa as its first chief commercial officer, reporting to CEO and President John Hartmann. In a release, Hartmann praised Kempa as an “exceptional addition” to True Value’s team. “As True Value continues to execute against our strategic priorities and long-term business growth plans, I am confident his experienced leadership and deep industry knowledge will play an important role in our continued success,” he said. Kempa was most recently group president, industrial, at office supplies wholesaler Essendant Inc.
