U.S. construction spending rises in November

Investment in construction rose by 0.4 percent in November, the U.S. Commerce Department said this week. Spending on single-family homebuilding, which was up 0.6 percent, drove the increase. Year-over-year, spending was up 9.3 percent. Economists polled by Reuters projected a 0.6 percent increase in November.
