U.S. home resales hit 12-year low

Sales of existing U.S. homes fell by 1.5 percent in December, according to the U.S. National Association of Realtors. The annualized pace of 4.02 million units was the lowest level of sales since November 2010. The decline was the eleventh in as many months, the longest downward streak since 1999.
