U.S. home sales slip in April, but up year over year

Sales in the U.S. of new single-family houses slipped in April to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 863,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. That’s down 5.9 percent from the previous month. However, it’s up 48.3 percent from April 2020.
