U.S. lumber, garden sales soar

Total U.S. retail sales excluding non-store retailers (not seasonally adjusted) in December 2020 were up 4.8 percent, the U.S. Commerce Department reports. Sales by the building supplies, garden equipment, and supplies dealers subsector were up 20.5 percent in December compared with the same period a year earlier.
