U.S. retail sales dip in April

WASHINGTON, DC ― According to the U.S. Commerce Department, U.S. retail and food services sales dropped 0.2% to $513.4 billion seasonally adjusted in April from the previous month. However, sales were up 3.1% year over year. Total sales from February to April were up 3.0% from the same period a year ago.
