U.S. retail sales edged up 0.3 percent in November, according to the U.S. Commerce Department, or 0.2 percent excluding gas and motor vehicles. That followed an upwardly revised 1.8 percent gain in October. In a Bloomberg survey, analysts forecast an increase of 0.8 percent in November.
