OTTAWA — The federal government has named former Home Depot Canada President Annette Verschuren as chair of the board of directors for Sustainable Development Technology Canada. The federal agency manages funding for clean technologies and falls under the oversight of the minister of innovation, science and economic development, currently Navdeep Bains. Verschuren, who is currently chair and CEO of energy storage development firm NRStor, was named an officer of the Order of Canada in 2011.
