Wal-Mart sees boost on smaller stores

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart had increased revenues in its third quarter, thanks in large part to the performance of its smaller Neighborhood Stores, whose same-store sales increased by 5.5% in the quarter. Overall revenues were up 2.9% to $119 billion, although net profit shrank by 0.4% to $3.71 billion from $3.74 billion.
