West Fraser Timber Co. has announced that CEO and president Ray Ferris will retire on Dec. 31. Current COO Sean McLaren, a 35-year veteran of the company and its predecessors, will take the helm on Jan. 1, 2024. Ferris joined the company more than 25 years ago and was named president and COO in 2018, exchanging the latter role for the CEO spot the following year.
