VANCOUVER — West Fraser Timber has announced that CEO Ted Seraphim will retire at the end of the second quarter in 2019. At the same time, the company said Executive VP and Chief Operating Officer Ray Ferris has been named president and COO, and will serve in that role until he takes over as CEO on Seraphim’s retirement. In a release, Hank Ketcham, chairman of the board, hailed the “important step in the implementation of our succession plan.” Ferris joined West Fraser in 1997 and following a series of executive roles took on his most recent position in 2016.
