West Fraser Timber Co. reported third-quarter sales of $2.09 billion, down from $2.89 billion in the previous quarter and from $2.54 billion in Q3 2021. Third-quarter earnings were $216 million, down from $762 million in the second quarter, and from $460 million in the previous year’s Q3. Pressures from inflation and cooling demand drove the declines. At the same time, West Fraser announced it will add a new mill to its Henderson, Texas, facility.
