WRLA show adds new features, honours industry greats

CALGARY — Last week’s WRLA buying show drew more than 80% of registered attendees, even though the truck bearing the show materials arrived two days late. To accommodate the popularity of the show’s educational offerings, this year’s format incorporated a classroom on the show floor. The new product area sponsored by TIMBER MART was expanded and relocated to the middle of the floor.

The feature event, dubbed “The Place”, offered a venue for members to build relationships and enjoy refreshments while recognizing the accomplishments of their peers. The industry achievement award was presented to Sexton CEO Brian Kusisto and the inaugural sales rep award of the year was presented to Bill Fast of Orgill from Manitoba, Darren Kiel of All Weather Windows in Saskatchewan, Brian Torrens from AFA Alberta and Jason Cryderman from Trimlite in British Columbia.
