We were deeply saddened to hear that Don Sherwood has passed away. He died suddenly on December 9 at the age of 70.
Don was an integral part of the industry for decades, remembered with respect in his role as general manager at Coates Distributors before taking the helm of the Atlantic Building Supply Dealers Association 17 years ago. During that time, he proved himself a sound leader and a tireless ambassador for the Atlantic building supply industry. He had recently retired from his role as ABSDA president and, sadly, the upcoming Atlantic Building Materials Show in Moncton, N.B., was to have been his swan song.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wesla, daughter Dina and son Adam. In lieu of flowers, the Sherwood family request that you make donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice. For more information, click here.
