SEATTLE — Growing competition in the Canadian retail scene will include a push for upmarket goods, and Nordstrom is ready to take on the job. Following the high-profile entry of discount giant Target in the past year, Canadians will get a taste of the luxury banner as it opens its first stores in the spring. Nordstrom joins J. Crew, Ann Taylor, and Mulberry among upscale retailers lured by increased Canadian spending power, reports the Wall Street Journal.
