TORONTO — The Home Depot Canada has opened the doors to its first Rapid Deployment Centre (RDC). Located in Vaughan, Ont., this new 657,600-square-foot facility will service approximately 123 stores, from Winnipeg to St. John’s. The facility features over two kilometres of conveyor belts where cartons from suppliers are received, sorted and immediately distributed to Home Depot Canada stores each week. To mark the official grand opening, local officials, including the Mayor of Vaughan, Maurizio Bevilacqua, participated in a board-cutting ceremony.
