Overstock wins bid on Bed Bath & Beyond assets

Overstock.com is the winning bidder for Bed Bath & Beyond’s intellectual property and digital assets. The housewares retailer’s stores are not included in the deal, which is valued at US$21.5 million. Its terms still need to be okayed by a New Jersey bankruptcy court. A separate auction for Bed Bath & Beyond’s Buy Baby Buy franchise is slated for this week.
