Sales of existing Canadian homes were down 4.1 percent in August compared to the previous month, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association. National sales were dragged down by declines in markets including Greater Vancouver, Montreal, and Hamilton-Burlington. The actual (not seasonally adjusted) number of transactions came in 5.3 percent above August 2022.
