LONDON — Kingfisher plc posted a 20% hike in profit at £142 million, just £3 million shy of the company’s own forecast. Aided by better weather than the same period last year, same-store sales rose 6.1%, including gains of 1.6% in France and 10.1% in the British Isles, the Irish Times reports.
