Home Hardware’s newest round of senior appointments

Home Hardware Stores Ltd. continues to reshape its senior management team. The following appointments were made this month, except where noted.

Bernie Gauthier is joining Home Hardware Stores as vice president, retail operations, effective Oct. 24. Prior to joining Home, he was sales director of siding and pressure treated lumber at Taiga Building Products. (Not only that, but his parents became Home Hardware dealer-owners in 1967!)

John Pierce joins Home Hardware as vice president, retail business development. He was most recently VP store operations for Loblaw Cos. In his new role, Pierce oversees dealer support, recruiting, onboarding, and succession planning. His portfolio also includes real estate, venture capital, and Home’s training and education programs.

Chris Marinis has been promoted to the role of vice president, information technology. With more than 25 years of IT experience, he joined Home Hardware two years ago as senior director, business solutions.

Melanie Beatty has been promoted to director, e-commerce. She joined Home Hardware in 2004 and has played an integral role in leading the digital roadmap for the company’s e-commerce strategy. She was recently recognized with the 2022 Retail TouchPoints Top 40 Under 40 award.

Kristi Stemmler is now director, brand management, marketing communications, and research. In this role, she puts increased focus on leading the master brand, private brands, advertising, in-store brand experience, and market research efforts. With 30 years of experience in retail, Stemmler joined Home Hardware in 2018 as director of content and media.

The previously announced promotion of Chris Parsons to senior director, omni-channel marketing and strategic insights was also in this lineup of appointments. He joined Home Hardware in 2019 as director, e-commerce.
