Sylvain Prud’homme to head up Lowe’s international

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Sylvain Prud’homme, currently president and CEO of Lowe’s Canada, has been named president, international, for Lowe’s. The new title, which is added to his current role, becomes effective December 15. He will report to Chairman, President and CEO Robert Niblock and will remain based in Lowe’s Canada’s Boucherville, Que., office.

With this new role, Prud’homme will now be responsible, along with Canada, for Lowe’s business in Mexico, with the president of Lowe’s Mexico reporting to him. Prud’homme takes over the international role from Richard Maltsbarger, who has served as president, international for the past three years, in addition to duties as chief development officer. He has been named COO effective February 2018.
