Canadian push weighs down Wal-Mart

TORONTO — Wal-Mart Canada continues to increase its market share, but its competitiveness took a hit on Wal-Mart’s results in the sixth quarter in a row of falling same-store sales and traffic. Customer traffic dropped by 2.8% but was offset by a 1.4% hike in average customer spending, the Financial Post notes.
