TORONTO — Canadian Tire has opened its ‘Digital Garage’ in Canada’s Silicon Valley North, its second digital innovation lab. The facility’s location near Canadian Tire’s Communitech lab in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ont., will allow the company to develop new in-store and online technologies at a faster pace. The opening is part of a broader three-year plan of digital redevelopment, following on the launch of digital lab stores in Toronto and Edmonton, and the rollout of the “My Canadian Tire Money” digital loyalty program.
