EDMONTON — Canadian Tire has launched its first “Showcase” store, a 140,000 square foot space spread over two floors. Staffed by 240 associates, the store will use interactive technology to personalize the customer’s experience, including over 100 digital screens and a large outdoor LED screen. Store flyers will be viewable digitally, while the Seasonal department will feature a 3D backyard visioning app. This technology was developed at Canadian Tire’s Winnipeg digital hub using virtual reality solutions from Oculus.
