CanWel completes California acquisition

VANCOUVER — CanWel Building Materials has completed its acquisition of California Cascade Industries, a Sacramento-based vendor of wood products. CanWel had previously announced that it would enter the California market with the acquisition of a private company. CanWel’s chairman and CEO Amar Doman hailed the retailer, founded in 1974, as a “strong fit with CanWel” and said his company was on “a solid footing” with its U.S. entry.
