Investment in residential construction declined for the fourth straight month, StatCan reports, falling 4.5 percent to $12.1 billion in June. Ontario accounted for most of the drop, declining by 5.8 percent to $5.1 billion. Single-family home construction fell 5.7 percent to $6.2 billion, with declines seen in eight provinces. Overall, construction spending fell 3.1 percent to $18.0 billion in June
