ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — FedEx is expanding its ground distribution facility, the Albuquerque Journal reports. At 183,000 square feet, the new building is more than two and a half times the size of the two buildings it replaces. The transition is necessary to keep pace with the growing demand for delivery from e-commerce sales, with an increasing number of consumer sales, aided by the spread of the smartphone, catching up in what has been primarily a B2B-focussed shipping market.
