European DIY groups honour ADEO chief

COLOGNE — The Board of the European DIY-Retail Association (EDRA), the Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN), and the European Federation of DIY Manufacturers (fediyma) announced that Damien Deleplanque of ADEO will receive the industry’s Global DIY-Lifetime Award 2018 at June’s Global DIY Summit in Barcelona. Deleplanque got his start in 1979 as a department manager in a Leroy Merlin store before quickly moving to another store as store manager. In 1993, he was appointed CEO of Leroy Merlin, which became Groupe ADEO in 2005.
