ATLANTA — Home Depot announced that it has named Marc Powers executive vice-president, U.S. stores, effective November 1. Powers, who began his career with The Home Depot as an hourly store associate in 1986, currently serves as senior vice-president of operations for the company’s U.S. stores. In that role, he was responsible for initiatives to simplify store operations and drive productivity, and critical customer service programs that are credited with significantly increased customer satisfaction scores and store traffic. As EVP for U.S. Stores, Powers will assume responsibilities for the company’s three U.S. operating divisions, as well as Pro, Tool Rental, and the company’s installation business.
