Home Hardware, Habitat for Humanity announce milestone

Home Hardware’s in-kind donations to Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore business have now surpassed 137,000 pounds of product since 2016. Boxes that arrive at Home Hardware’s St. Jacobs, Ont., distribution centre containing spilled, dented, or otherwise damaged product can’t be sold. The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Waterloo however can give them a second life.

“This is such a valuable partnership for us, as it reduces our waste while also giving back to the community in a tangible way,” Andy Gingerich, custodial lead at Home Hardware Stores Ltd., said in a release.
