OTTAWA — Housing starts in Canada were at a rate of 192,094 units in February, an increase from 180,481 in January, according to data released by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). The SAAR of urban starts increased by 7.5 % in February to 175,584 units. Multiple urban starts increased by 13.3% to 116,458 units in February while the single-detached urban starts segment decreased by 2.4% to 59,126 units.
