BRAMPTON, Ont. — Loblaw Companies Ltd. closed its deal to buy Shoppers Drug Mart on Friday, eight months after announcing its bid, the Canadian Press has reported. While the Competition Bureau gave Loblaw the green light last week, it came with a number of conditions, including the sale of 18 stores and nine pharmacies.
