NEW YORK — Lowe’s is positioning itself as a player in the smart home market. Kevin Meagher, VP of general merchandise, addressing the Association of National Advertisers’ conference on mobile advertising, pumped the company’s Iris products for the connected home, and the benefits of its connection to Lowe’s retail network. Lowe’s, confident in its products, has avoided the “walled garden” approach of making apps not compatible with other platforms, which has been favoured by some manufacturers.
