MONTREAL — Metro has signalled its interest in some Target properties being sold after the American retailer’s abrupt exit from Canada. According to Report on Business, CEO Eric La Flèche told a conference call that “a few of those stores … could be of interest to us down the road if they become available.” Metro joins other retailers who have expressed interest. Hudson’s Bay Co. has already indicated it would be willing to consider buying some of the properties through one of its joint ventures.
