TORONTO — Canadian retailers need to catch up with their American counterparts’ e-retail options, Canadian Tire’s president said at the annual conference of the Retail Council of Canada. But the bricks-and-mortar store isn’t dead yet. Michael Medline joined representatives of Staples and Groupe Dynamite for a session moderated by star entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary on the next steps for e-commerce in Canada, the Canadian Press reports. Medline noted that Canadian Tire Corp. is piloting greater integration of online offerings at two physical plant stores in Toronto and Edmonton.
