TORONTO — Sears Canada has announced that its president and CEO will resign effective at the end of the summer after less than a year on the job. Ronald Boire is going to the United States to take the helm of book giant Barnes & Noble, where he will be president and CEO. Board chairman Brandon Stranzl has been appointed executive chairman to oversee the transition, effective immediately. In the meantime, the board will begin an executive search for a new president and CEO.
