TORONTO — Target will seek court approval on Wednesday for a liquidator to sell off its remaining inventory, the Toronto Star reports. If the motion is successful, clearance sales could begin as early as Thursday. Liquidation will be wound down no later than May 15, but some stores could be emptied of merchandise by the end of March. Target’s next step will be to advertise the sale of its leases and properties: the company could open up bidding as early as March 5.
