Throwback Thursday: 20 years ago, RONA completed its second public offering

Twenty years ago, RONA completed a public share offering—its second within a year—on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Hardlines reported on this transaction in its May 26, 2003 issue. After the first public offering in November of 2002 raised $150 million, the second raised an additional $130 million. The money was used later in the year, in part, to acquire Quebec big box competitor Réno-Dépôt from UK retail company Kingfisher plc.
