MILTON KEYNES, England — Here’s a very cool idea: DIY retailer Homebase is giving young people a leg up with a new interior design academy. The program, aimed at young people aged 16 and up, gives people the opportunity to learn interior decorating skills and earn accreditation. According to DIY Week, students who enroll in the academy will work full-time in the design department of a local Homebase store to get experience and work with customers.
