NEW YORK — Wal-Mart discussed plans to solidify its position in Canada at the Goldman Sachs Global Retailing Conference, Food Business News reports. As retailers cope with the arrival of Target, Wal-Mart will focus on its food business, which has been driving growth in Canada. Dave Cheesewright, Wal-Mart International CEO, said the company has been able to expand its food lines by putting more grocery sections into existing stores, rather than expanding its footprint.
