BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Lowe’s South Windsor received the Best Large Surface Retailer Award at this month’s Outstanding Retailer Awards in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Opened during the 2008 recession, it has doubled its sales over the last six years with its focus on customer service, under the supervision of Store Manager Mark Birse (shown right with Rick Truant of Lowe’s Canada and Sue Swing of Dow, sponsor of the award). “Low employee turnover, attention to customers and a fierce dedication to the local community, backed by strong sales results, have ensured that this store would be an award winner,” Hardlines’ own Michael McLarney said of the accolade.
