WRLA Buying Show gets off to a strong start in Calgary

CALGARY ― The Western Retail Lumber Association’s WRLA Buying Show got off to a strong start yesterday in Calgary’s BMO Centre. Reports from the show floor indicate a strong attendance by dealers from across the West, generating a positive vibe overall at the event.

Under WRLA president Liz Kovach, the show has made some changes this year, including streamlining the entertainment. Rather than provide a “big ticket” musical act during a gala dinner, the show opted for an evening networking event. The result both saved money for the association and freed up time for attendees to meet up on their own time. The show also featured a series of education sessions, which were held before and during the show itself.

The WRLA Buying Show continues today.
